The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Educator for our OOSH centre (CABOOSH) in Camden NSW, which we operate in partnership with Camden Baptist Church. Enrolments are growing and we are working towards our capacity of 96. The role is ideal for an enthusiastic, committed person, with attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team, a heart for caring for the local community and experience working with children preferable.
Greater West Childcare is a Christian organisation, and all staff are required to respect, and help promote, a Christian ethos, regardless of the individuals beliefs. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children, and to fostering a child safe culture within our organisation, which includes ensuring all potential candidates are appropriately screened for suitability prior to engagement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Developing relationships with families that use the centre
Interacting with children with games and activities
Preparation of food for the children
Maintaining the cleanliness of the centre
Working within the requirements of the NQF and MTOP
To be successful in this role you will have:
Working With Children Check
First Aid, or willing to obtain
Safe Food Handling Certificate, or willing to obtain
Some experience in Childcare/OOSH preferred, but not essential
Availability during school terms between the hours of 6:30am-9:30am and 2:30pm-6:30pm, and all day during the school holiday periods.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a high level of personal integrity, honesty, reliability & transparency, effective and respectful communication skills, commitment to the provision of quality education and care and the ability to work as part of a team.

The role is ideal for an enthusiastic, committed person, with attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team, a heart for caring for the local community.
Lots of availability during the school holiday periods is essential for this role! This role is likely to suit a casual school teacher or SLSO looking to get some additional work during the school holiday, or a school or university student in need of some holiday shifts.

Our centre has been operating in the heart of the St Clair community for over 30 years, and is largely full with a capacity for 86 children. The role is ideal for an enthusiastic, committed person, with attention to detail, the ability to work as part of a team, a heart for caring for the local community and experience working with children preferable.
